I am a freelance translator specialised in literature, audiovisual content and EU affairs.
I have translated two novels from English into French for French publisher Au Diable Vauvert, namely John King’s White Trash; and am currently translating Valérie Trierweiler’s political memoir Merci pour ce moment from French into English for UK political publisher Biteback.
I also work as a translator for EU affairs daily Europolitics and teach subtitling at City University in London, tutoring MA students and marking MA dissertations.
As soon as I get a chance, I enjoy dabbling in writing. About translation and literature for bilingual online publication IF/Verso. Or about cinema and feminism or poetry for London literary zine Litro. I also read novels for literary scouts.
Why coworking?
I have been working on a freelance basis since 2009 and enjoy choosing my own projects. But working in your pyjamas is overrated and microwaved lunches go down better with company… Having Mutinerie as a base is an opportunity to meet other freelancers and learn from them, whether they are in the same field as me or not.
